LOCAL AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM COORDINATOR WINS SCHOLARSHIP

Delise Denham, Program Coordinator for REACH Club Inc. in Elk City wins scholarship to national conference.

Delise Denham, Program Coordinator and Lead Teacher for Reach Club Inc. in Elk City is this year's recipient of the Resource Network Inc. Scholarship to the National AfterSchool Association annual conference.

Ms. Denham has been awarded a paid 3-day conference registration to the National AfterSchool Association 2007 Conference taking place in Phoenix, AZ, March 21-23, 2007. She was selected for her outstanding dedication to the students, parents and school staff of the REACH Club Inc. in Elk City. Her commitment to the children in her community is admirable.

The National AfterSchool Association's 19th Annual Conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, March 21 - Friday, March 23 in 2007 with PreConference events on Tuesday, March 20. The NAA Conference is the premier education and networking gathering of the afterschool professional community.

Attending with Ms. Denham will be directors, leaders and key staff members of after-school programs as well as educators, policy setters, school administrators, and funders. These professionals represent public schools, military programs, church and religious programs, many community and civic groups, including the Y's, Girls and Boys Clubs, Girls Inc. and more.

The National AfterSchool Association is the premier professional association. Membership includes more than 9,000 practitioners, policy makers, and administrators representing all public, private, and community-based sectors of after-school and out-of-school time programs, as well as school-age and after-school programs on military bases, both domestic and international. As the leading voice of the after-school profession, NAA is dedicated to the development, education, and care of children and youth during their out-of-school hours.
